Roundhouse Inc is a non-profit organization run by members of the St James Model Railroad Club in St. James, Minnesota. Our club operates layouts in G Scale, O Scale, S Scale, and the main focus of the club being HO Scale.
Roundhouse Inc. tries to educate visitors about the impact that railroads, in the USA and the St James area in particular, had on the formation of the nation.

WELCOME
Children and adults of all ages are welcome!
Roundhouse Inc. has an interactive toy train area where O-gauge trains can be operated by visitors and young enthusiasts! Otherwise, please remember to respectfully avoid reaching over the plexiglass into our model display areas.

If there are cars outside, we are open!
Tours for groups by appointment only.
If travelling from a great distance, call ahead to verify we are there, sometimes we are working at train shows.

FUN FACTS
DISPLAYS
The Roundhouse features model railroads in a variety of scales, along with historic artifacts collected by club members to help preserve the area’s rich railroad heritage. The displays focus on historical accuracy, capturing railroading as it once was—down to the finest detail.
DONATIONS
The club operates its layouts through the generosity of the St. James City Council, various organizations and St. James Service Clubs, businesses, and individuals. Other financing comes from grants, individual club memberships and annual renewals.
VISITORS
Since its founding in 1989, the Roundhouse has welcomed more than 9,000 visitors from 31 states and from as far away as Peru, Germany, India, Canada, Mexico, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Australia. Groups are always welcome and have ranged in size from 2 to 40 people.
